Line of Duty duo Kelly Macdonald and Gina McKee are uniting on the big screen.
The movie project itself is titled Typist Artist Pirate King and comes from writer-director Carol Morley, whose last piece was 2018 crime drama Out of Blue.
Cameras are already shooting in Yorkshire, whilst the cast also boasts BAFTA-winning actress Monica Dolan (A Very English Scandal).
Deadline reports it's a road movie drawn from the extensive archives of artist Audrey Amiss, reconstructing real events and dialogue from her letters and diaries to create a fictional trip.
The blossoming friendship between two women will be at the centre of this quasi-adaptation, as they drive off in an electric car looking for "endings and reconciliation".
Producer Cairo Cannon shared in a statement: "The dynamic between Monica Dolan and Kelly Macdonald is electric, funny and joyous. Carol Morley's distinct direction strikes the perfect balance between the humour and the realities of Audrey Amiss's life.
"Thanks to our superb cast and collaborators, Morley's Typist Artist Pirate King is set to be a must-see British road movie."
Jane Campion is amongst the team of executive producers, whose name Netflix subscribers will come across in the coming weeks thanks to her directorial effort The Power of the Dog.
Starring MCU heavyweight Benedict Cumberbatch and Breaking Bad villain Jesse Plemons, it's a revisionist western centred on the complicated relationship between two rancher brothers Phil and George Burbank.
Kirsten Dunst's widow Rose and her son Peter (Kodi Smit-McPhee) are the catalysts for some brutal drama.
The Power of the Dog is released in select cinemas this month and will hit Netflix on December 1.
