The Great British Bake Off Pastry Week spoilers follow.

The latest star to leave The Great British Bake Off has paid tribute to her fellow bakers after departing the tent.

Amanda had to say goodbye to fellow competitors during Tuesday's (October 26) Pastry Week episode, where challenges included a deep fried signature and a savoury pastry for the showstopper.

After Amanda's Terrine Pie showstopper just didn't measure up to judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith, she penned a beautiful note to let viewers know how much Bake Off had meant to her this year.

"Taking part in this year's Bake Off has been an incredible experience," she wrote. "I developed such a tight bond with the other bakers, they feel like family.

"I have made friends with the most wonderful people, both the bakers and crew that I am sure will last a lifetime."

Amanda joked about the lessons she learned from the "soggy bottoms" and "saggy pies" along the way, adding: "It is an emotional rollercoaster but certainly one that I would recommend to any baker.

"I am sad to be leaving, but I am proud and happy for my friends that remain."

Amanda left off by admitting it's "impossible" for her to predict a winner because it would be like picking "a favourite child".

While Amanda had to say goodbye during Pastry Week, Crystelle excelled with her Pickle Cottage during the showcase, getting a rare Hollywood handshake in the showstopper and took home the Star Baker achievement for the week – as well as a spot in Bake Off 2021's Top 6.

The Great British Bake Off airs on Tuesdays at 8pm Channel 4 in the UK. In the US, it's known as The Great British Baking Show, and streams on Netflix.
