Strictly's Sara Davies enjoys double date with Aljaz and his wife

Strictly Come Dancing's Sara Davies says she and professional partner Aljaž Škorjanec love double dating with their respective spouses whenever they're not training.

Ahead of Saturday night's episode (October 23), in which she and Škorjanec are due to perform a rumba routine set to Shania Twain's 'You're Still the One', the pair appeared on Loose Women to talk about their experiences on the show so far.

During their chat with panellists Ruth Langsford, and Janet Street-Porter, the latter asked Dragon's Den star Davies: "We've heard so many things about the 'Curse of Strictly' and so on. But I'm hearing that you've made Aljaž part of your family and that he has virtually moved into your house and spends all of his downtime with you?"

"It's been great for us," she said. "Janette [Manrara, Škorjanec's wife and former Strictly performer] has been coming up on a Monday so we can go out for dinner as the four of us.

"Last week we went for dinner, and last night I had these two, Janette and Aljaž, round for dinner at our house. We had way too many shots of Patron XO Cafe, you're a bad influence there," Davies laughed. "It was not good when we had to wake up at 6am this morning dancing.

"I met him at the training room this morning like: 'Ahhh, I'm still hanging!' but we had such a laugh and you know what, Janette is such a firecracker. Her and my husband have hit it off as well, so it's been brilliant spending time the four of us."

Davies has been married to partner Simon since 2007. The couple share two children, and currently live in Teesside between County Durham and North Yorkshire.

Škorjanec and Manrara tied the knot in 2017, having met in a dance studio in London six years prior.
