Amy Adams teases what to expect from the Enchanted sequel

Disenchanted – the sequel to 2007's Enchanted – has been a long time coming, and leading lady Amy Adams has been teasing what fans can expect from the new movie.

By the sounds of it, Disney musical lovers are going to be thrilled with what Amy has revealed: there will be lots more singing and dancing.

Appearing on The Tonight Show last week, she said that Disenchanted features "a lot more singing and a lot more dancing, which was humbling."

"The last time I really danced as much as I'm required to dance in this, I was in my 20s and now I'm not in my 20s," Amy explained. "It feels different in your 40s. In my heart, I look like I'm in my 20s when I'm dancing, and then I would watch playback and be like, 'Whoa, that's not the same.'"

Disenchanted takes place 15 years after Enchanted, which found fairytale princess Giselle (Adams) banished from her kingdom of Andalasia to Manhattan where she met and married divorce lawyer Robert (Patrick Dempsey).

It returns us to her life there, with Robert's daughter Morgan now a teenager. As Giselle and her family relocate to the suburb of Monroeville, she must face the challenges of rediscovering the true meaning of happily ever after.

The actress added that, as previously reported, "everyone is back" for the sequel, which includes Patrick Dempsey, James Marsden and Idina Menzel reprising their roles from the original.

A new addition is Saturday Night Live's Maya Rudolph who is joining the cast as the new villain Malvina.

"She plays the baddie, so we get to have a lot of fun together," Adams said.

One returnee is feeling the pressure a bit for the upcoming singing he's having to do, with Dempsey previously asking people to "bear with me" when it comes to the warbling.

"I've never ever sung publicly — for a reason. So bear with me. I hope the fans embrace it," Dempsey told Variety earlier this year. "But they've set me up for success and the lyrics are really fun. The numbers have really great choreography."
