It's a big year for Anton Du Beke, not only is he returning to the Strictly Come Dancing judging panel for a full season stint as an official judge, he's just revealed he's also starring in his first ever panto!
Diving headfirst into the spectacular British festive tradition, this Christmas Anton will star in the Richmond Theatre's production of Cinderella. And we're sure you already know who he'll be playing...
Buttons of course! The servant is Cinderella's trusty and loveable companion and the only kindness in her home with her stepmother and stepsisters. Well the only human kindness!
Anton shared the news to his Instagram with a video of himself spinning into costume.
He wrote in the caption: "It's my first ever panto and I'm absolutely delighted to be playing Buttons in Cinderella at the wonderful @richmondtheatre, December 3rd to January 2nd – see you there, my loves! Anton XX 😘🎭🌟👏🤩"
Running from 3 December, the show opening doesn't give Anton much time to rest post Strictly and we have to assume Panto rehearsals will be running alongside this year's series.
The theatre shared the news too, with a snap of Anton in costume as Buttons. Anton is the first cast announcement, but he's certainly hard to top!
