Coronation Street's Verity Henry is pregnant with second child

Coronation Street star Verity Henry has revealed the happy news that she's expecting her second child. Congrats, Verity!

Verity – who Corrie fans will recognise as villainous human trafficker Rachel Healy – announced her pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post earlier this month.

Alongside a photo of the actress swimming, Verity opened up about her experience of falling pregnant. "Preggers. It hasn't been an easy journey; so aware it isn't for so many people," she captioned the pic.

This will be the Corrie star's second child, with Verity – who first appeared on the cobbles two years ago – welcoming a baby boy with partner Adam Lawson back in 2018.

Verity made her Weatherfield debut in March 2019 as Rachel Healy, the owner of multiple salons and a human trafficker.

After Alina Pop and her fellow nail bar workers were rescued from their modern slavery ordeal, Rachel sought revenge on Eileen Grimshaw's former partner Jan Lozinski, who had been working undercover as a police informant.

As well as getting caught up in a dramatic shooting storyline, Verity's character Rachel made a recent return to Corrie, after Alina believed she may have been behind the life-threatening house fire.

Marking her comeback on Instagram earlier this year, Verity shared a behind-the-scenes photo of her transformation into the evil Rachel.

"Pleather trousers CHECK awkward stance to make my thighs look a tenth of the girth CHECK cobbles CHECK," she wrote. "Rachel's back for a creep on the cobbles...just a pop in and a hello!"
