Gok Wan has taken to the This Morning airwaves to support a young family member going through cancer treatment by getting his hair shaved off.
The presenter revealed at the start of today's (July 1) episode that his cousin's daughter Alyssa had recently been diagnosed with leukaemia and had hoped to send in a video message.
Getting visibly emotional, Gok read out a text to her "Uncle Babe", as she calls him, as the youngster revealed that her chemotherapy treatment had recently changed, and so was feeling more poorly.
However, Gok promised to get his own hair shaved in solidarity with Alyssa and to raise money for the charity Young Lives vs Cancer.
Sure enough, later on in the show, the star took to the barber's chair as he prepared to have his iconic quiff shaved off.
"Alyssa, I know you're watching with mummy right now – this is for you my darling, you've inspired us," Gok declared, before taking the clippers to his head with a little help from a professional hairdresser.
Co-presenter Phillip Schofield also revealed that a huge £10,000 had been donated since they'd been on the air. You can keep donating to the cause here.
While they didn't reveal the full results straight away, Gok showed off his new 'do later on in a fashion segment.
Good on you, Gok.
This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV.
