EastEnders actress Charlie Brooks has been photographed on the soap's set, seemingly confirming her character Janine Butcher's return.
Back in April, the Walford regular was tipped to make her grand re-appearance later in the year for a massive storyline, but the BBC didn't confirm or deny those reports.
Now, a paparazzi snap of Charlie arriving on set appears to have confirmed that speculation.
As fans of EastEnders will recall, Janine has tied the knot on four separate occasions, with three of her husbands dying, including Barry Evans (played by Shaun Williamson) who she sent over the edge of a cliff in a deadly inheritance scheme.
She eventually left Walford in 2014, for Paris.
Charlie previously reflected on where her character might be these days, commenting: "I'm lucky because there's great potential with her... I quite like to think of her as a hippy on the beach. She has the ability to be anyone and go anywhere."
Soon after, Charlie also admitted that she wasn't planning to make any kind of return to the BBC soap, as she was happy enough getting stuck into theatre work.
"I don't have plans to go back," she said back in February 2019. "I've been doing so much theatre. I am so lucky to get these challenging characters."
EastEnders airs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays on BBC One.
