The Duchess of Cambridge joined celebrations for the Queen’s birthday alongside Her Majesty and the Duchess of Cornwall, at the Eden Project in Cornwall this weekend.

Kate wore a stunning white blazer dress by British fashion house Alexander McQueen. The Duchess is a fan of the designer, as she also wore a stunning fitted pink McQueen dress last week when meeting Dr Jill Biden.

Both the Queen and the Duchess of Cornwall opted for summery prints, with the Queen in a long-sleeved, green and red flower dress and a pair of white gloves.

The Queen was presented with a birthday cake at a reception for The Big Lunch (which will form part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations) and the Duchess of Cambridge and the Duchess of Cornwall stood alongside as she cut into it.

Her Majesty chose to use a large ceremonial sword to slice the cake. When she was told there was a knife nearby she replied, “I know there is. This is much more unusual,” which was greeted with laughter from everyone at the event, including the Duchesses.

The Royal Family have been busy over the weekend celebrating the Queen’s official birthday and welcoming world leaders for the G7 Summit in Cornwall. The Queen was joined by US President Biden and First Lady Dr Jill Biden to witness The Guard of Honour.

Last week, Her Majesty was presented with a Duke of Edinburgh Rose by the RHS, to mark what would have been her late husband Prince Philip’s 100th birthday.
