Kids are about to go wild when they hear what's arrived at Alton Towers. Gangsta Granny, one of David Walliams' hugely successful children's books has been turned into a ride and attraction and it looks incredible!
With a main ride taking you through the story, we also spotted a carousel, a seated outdoor ride and the area has it's own shop, Raj's of course!
Walliams posted the first glimpses with pictures and videos shared to his Instagram account and it looks like so much fun!
He told fans and followers: "I have officially APPROVED #GangstaGranny: The Ride at @altontowers! I made a special visit to the park’s newest attraction this week and I know you’re all going to love the heist of a lifetime with Ben and Granny. You can experience the sights, frights, laughs and even smells on board your own royal carriage as you hunt down the Crown Jewels from 17th May!"
Swiping through all the images in the post, it looks like a total wonderland and we're sure is going to plant Alton Towers at the top of kids'wish lists this summer.
David himself is pretty pleased with how it turned out, writing: "I am absolutely thrilled with the brand new #GangstaGranny ride at @altontowers My story has been brought to life in such an exciting & hilarious way. The attraction will be open to the public on May 17th."
There's so much going on you may not even get the time to see the rest of the theme park!
We're loving the attention to detail, like this amazing shop.
Just look at all those jars of sweets and how brilliantly everything has been named, it really is bringing the world to life. Anyone for a pre-sucked sweet? A used tissue? How about some Nick'n'Mix?
Though many open air attractions at the park are now open, the Gangsta Granny ride and area will be open from 17 May and you can buy tickets on the Alton Towers website now.
