Strictly Come Dancing spin-off show It Takes Two is back — with some changes to the format.
The BBC Two show traditionally splits up hosting duties for the week between Rylan Clark-Neal and Zoe Ball, with the pair coming together on Fridays and special shows. That won't be the case this year.
During Monday's (October 26) premiere edition of Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two, Zoe was in the studio to announce things would be different for the current series.
"The keen-eyed among you will notice a 6-foot gap to my side," she joked.
Rylan then joined the show via Zoom to explain how It Takes Two would "tweak the week" to accommodate both social distancing and the presenters' busy schedules.
"We've had a nice little swap-aroonie," Rylan noted. "[Zoe's] going to be looking after Mondays and Wednesdays, and I'll going to be coming in for Thursdays and Fridays. Because we've got to be careful and we can't be together!"
We're still holding out hope that Rylan and Zoe will be back together at some point before Strictly wraps up around Christmas time.
The BBC has been very public about putting social distancing measures in place to make sure the new series of Strictly could go on as planned during the age of COVID.
Their efforts were rewarded with this past Saturday's first live show of 2020 scoring 10.1 million viewers during its peak, an increase of 1.6 million viewers on last year's opener.
One new element of the series didn't win over viewers, however, with complaints coming in on social media over a slow motion video effect used during the dance evaluations.
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday night (October 31) on BBC One.
