BBC Sounds has announced a new Radio 4 Podcast from Joe Wicks, aka The Body Coach. A household name since becoming the nation's PE teacher in lockdown, Joe will now be hosting an uplifting weekly podcast on improving mental and physical health, with some pretty impressive guests.
Each week, Joe will chat to a high-profile guest that he finds inspiring to find out about the ways their mental and physical health connect, and what they do to boost them. He'll ask them how they take care of their wellbeing, keep active, lift their mood, and create a good work life balance. Guests will also be getting Joe to try out their own wellbeing methods.
The fitness star will be sharing plenty of ways listeners can get active too, no matter how much space they have in their homes.
Joe said in the release: “Having my very own podcast where I can speak to the people I have always been interested in has always been a dream of mine. I can’t wait for listeners to learn about my guests' secrets to personal wellbeing with some laughs and interesting life chats along the way.”
Guests listed in the release include Fearne Cotton, TV Chef Gordon Ramsay, legendary broadcaster Louis Theroux, comedian and writer Russell Brand and musician James Bay, with more guests to be announced.
Joe, 33, also posted a video to his Instagram page telling followers about the new launch on Thursday (9 July). He added in the caption: "So excited to announce my brand new podcast with @bbcsounds 😊. I can’t wait to share the first episode with you on Monday."
We can't wait to have a listen!
Episode 1 of Radio 4’s The Joe Wicks Podcast is available on BBC Sounds from Monday 13 July
