Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas is "99%" sure the show will return this year.
The BBC dancing competition is one of many shows to suspend filming due to the coronavirus pandemic but, after speaking with the executive producer, Shirley is now confident that Strictly will return to screens towards the end of the year.
Shirley, who is head judge on the show following the departure of Len Goodman, said it's "imperative" that the show goes ahead, so fans will have something to brighten up the winter months.
Speaking to HELLO! Magazine, Shirley said: "Of course, everything changes day-to-day but I have spoken to Strictly's executive producer, and I am 99 percent sure that we will be on screens in one form or another.
"We all realise that when the colder months come, we need some glitz and glamour – it's like going to Hollywood or Vegas and it's something that the whole family can enjoy," she explained.
She added: "It's imperative that the show goes ahead so you can bet your trolley they are doing their best to get it on."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One.
