John Torode hasn’t been having the best of luck in the kitchen recently and has suffered yet another disaster following on from his recent fire on This Morning.

The MasterChef judge revealed that his NutriBullet had caused an explosion while making his “Mr John sauce”.

Posting a picture on his Instagram yesterday (12 May), the chef’s kitchen tabletops and walls were shown to be covered in a brown sauce. John revealed the blender had just “popped open” and although the photos look pretty bad, he said they didn’t do the explosion justice.

“Making Mr JOHNs and the nurtri bullet popped open and it did go everywhere . This pic doesn’t do it justice but a have a closer look it did go everywhere including the ceiling and all over the kitchen” he wrote.

“Two hours of cleaning it has taken me. Oh well. It was just the base and not the actual sauce…”

His wife, Lisa Faulkner, also shared a picture on her own account of the star with his clothes covered in the sauce.

“Johno had a bit of an accident ... his MrJohns sauce all over the floor walls lights ceiling you name it... it’s there !!” she said.

But it’s not all bad, as the couple also shared the exciting news that their TV Show John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen will be back on our screens this summer.

“So we have some exciting news, our Weekend Kitchen has been re-commissioned,” Lisa told her followers.

John added, “John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen is back and it will be on Saturday mornings and it will be showing on ITV in the early part of the summer, but of course we’ve got to film it don’t we?”

With the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing the couple said that the show will start shooting with social distancing in mind.

“So we’re going to be filming it next week, social distancing, and everything sorted,” reassured Lisa, who met John back in 2010 after taking part on Celebrity MasterChef.

The couple decided to tie the knot last year and have been sharing food tutorials with their followers during lockdown.
