The Duchess of Cambridge's younger brother, James Middleton, has treated royal fans to a rare look at the gorgeous home and gardens of their parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, in a new Instagram video.
In the fun clip, shared on Monday (11 May), the 33-year-old reveals he is planning to surprise his fiancée, Alizee Thevenet, by shaving off his beard for the first time in seven years.
The couple – who announced their engagement on social media last October – are spending lockdown with his parents, Carole and Michael, at their beautiful home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. They were due to get married this month, but have had to postpone the celebrations because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
"Seeing as Alizee and I were due to get married this month and she's never seen me without a beard, I thought it was about time I showed her what's behind here," James says to the camera, before joking that he's more worried his five dogs – Ella, Zulu, Inka, Luna and Mabel – won't recognise him.
After showing off his new, fresh-faced look, James walks through his parents' beautiful gardens and turns the camera forwards to film Alizee's reaction. As he approaches, we get a full view of the back of the Middletons' beautiful red brick home, Bucklebury Manor, with its stone patio, sweeping lawn and lush flowerbeds.
The garden clearly requires lots of tending to, as the wheelbarrow filled with foliage and twigs sitting on the patio proves.
Alizee, who was born in France, can be seen sitting at an outdoor wooden table with her future in-laws, but quickly jumps to her feet and begins screaming when she spots James' new look.
"Ahh! Oh my God!" she says, laughing. "So weird! Even when I kiss you, it's different!"
Followers have been loving the video, and it has since received thousands of views as well as countless comments calling Alizee's reaction to her fiancé's new look "adorable" and "cute".
