In the world of reality TV, shows don't come much more gentle than The Great British Sewing Bee.
The contest, which sees 12 amateur sewists compete in a series of challenges each week, judged by Patrick Grant and Esme Young and supplied with moral support by host Joe Lycett, is undeniably a soothing watch.
The contestants are genial, the judging is fair, the creations are lovely - and fans are thrilled Sewing Bee is back and providing much-needed escapism.
Episode one aired last night (22 April), introducing viewers to the new bunch of contestants, all hopeful they'll be crowned the UK's best when it coming to sewing.
Viewers took to social media to say how glad they are the show's back, calling it perfect escapism in troubled times.
The sewists got stuck into some upcycling and impressed the judges and viewers at home with their pretty tea dresses in the made to measure challenge.
Patrick and Esme dubbed Matt's tea party dress garment of the week, and it's easy to see why.
Unfortunately, someone does have to be sent home each week and sadly for Angillia, she was the first to eliminated from the competition.
The Great British Sewing Bee airs Wednesdays at 9pm on BBC One.
