Fronting the BBC's new and extensive educational programming has left Strictly star Oti Mabuse's reflecting on her childhood and thinking about her teacher mum.
In a sweet post shared on Instagram today (20 April), as the BBC Bitsize lockdown content launches, Oti shared several gorgeous pictures of herself and mum Dudu Mabuse.
She wrote in the caption: "Today @bbcbitesize launches and it makes me not only miss my mom π’ but appreciate her even more β€οΈππ mom was always about education and home schooling and extra curricular learning and sports and extra lessons after extra lessons π .(for all 3 of us)! But itβs made us who we are."
Dudu sounds like an impressive woman, with many parents and guardians tackling homeschooling for the first time and realising just how hard all that teaching is!
A lot of us can also relate to missing our family right now, so it's lovely to see in these pictures how close Oti and her mother are, sharing several warm hugs.
Continuing in the caption, Oti added: "Being the daughter of a school teacher in these times makes you appreciate what bitesize daily is about and trying to do and Iβm definitely excited to be a part of it β€οΈ #bitesizedaily launches today on @bbciplayer and red button."
We wish Oti the best of luck in her new role. We're sure she'll do her Mama proud.
