Viewers have spent the past three nights gripped by ITV drama Quiz.
The series, which is based on the 2001 Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? cheating scandal, reached its conclusion on Wednesday night (April 15) – but not before delivering one final surprise for fans.
So far, people have been entranced by Michael Sheen's incredibly spot-on performance as Chris Tarrant and the show's recreating of Charles Ingram's appearance on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
But despite its track record with realism, the final episode contained something straight out of fantasy – a musical number.
The scene took place during a flashback to Diana Ingram preparing her husband Charles for his appearance on the show by testing his general knowledge.
Charles was seen sitting in front of the television, first watching Coronation Street and then the classic scene from Morecambe and Wise's Christmas Show in 1976, where the two comedians danced with newsreader Angela Rippon.
This led to Charles suddenly seeing himself, Diana and Chris Tarrant on his TV, performing 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' from musical High Society.
While the scene was unexpected, viewers seemed to love it, with many demanding to see Quiz: The Musical happen as soon as possible.
