From Strictly stars teaching dance to Joe Wicks holding daily P.E sessions, celebrities are doing their bit to keep parents, guardians and kids alike entertained while we all stay home.
One such celeb is Myleene Klass, who – as well as having a background in the pop industry – is a trained classical pianist. The mum of three has instilled a love of music into her own children, Ava, Hero and Apollo, and now she’s here to do the same for your kids while they’re off school.
She’s set up a YouTube channel called Myleene’s Music Klass with the aim of helping parents and guardians keep up music lessons while kids are at home.
“Let me take one lesson of your hands! Curriculum-based and most importantly, fun. There’s no need for instruments or to feel intimidated. Any age, any ability welcome,” Myleene said on her channel.
“Music helps to look after our children’s minds and souls, especially at a time when they need it most,” the blurb added.
In an introductory video, Myleene said she’ll be teaching children the basics of how to read music, how to clap out rhythms and how to tell the difference between major and minor.
“A few lessons every week – after this you could have some mini Mozarts,” she said.
So far, Myleene’s lessons have shown children how to learn basic rhythms and then play their own name and hear the difference between major and minor chords based on the emotions they make us feel. In the videos, she’s been helped by her daughters Ava and Hero.
She also shared a beautiful video of herself playing Disney lullabies to help little ones doze off, featuring her adorable baby Apollo.
