Tom Hanks has shared another update from his coronavirus self-isolation, and it's positive news as he's "feeling better."

The Hollywood actor and his wife Rita Wilson have been in isolation in Australia after experiencing symptoms and being tested positive for coronavirus.

Thankfully, those symptoms are now easing up, he's said.

"Hey, folks. Two weeks after our first symptoms and we feel better," Tom wrote on social media.

He also spoke about the importance of proper self-isolation and taking care of one another.

"Sheltering in place works like this: You don't give it to anyone - You don't get it from anyone. Common sense, no? Going to take a while, but if we take care of each other, help where we can, and give up some comforts... this, too, shall pass. We can figure this out."

Tom has been keeping fans updated since he and Rita started self-isolating.

He previously reported that they were both feeling 'the blahs' seven days into their illness, and expanded that, although the dreaded fever has subsided, symptoms are "much the same". He shared that small household chores that normally take minimal amount of effort, such as "folding the laundry and doing the dishes", now lead to naps on the couch due to overexertion.

The 63-year-old joked that they'd been playing lots of board games, more specifically Gin Rummy, although not to much success. He said: "Bad News: My wife has won 6 straight hands of Gin Rummy."

Tom was in Australia to begin filming on Baz Luhrmann's Elvis Presley movie, in which he's set to appear as Elvis' manager, Colonel Tom Parker. He told the world about his and Rita's coronavirus diagnosis on 12 March and after medical treatment, they've been isolating at their home on the Gold Coast.
