Midsomer Murders has lined up an unexpected crossover with Strictly Come Dancing, as the long-running crime show enters the world of the ballroom.
A number of Strictly contestants – all finalists on the BBC series – will star in the episode later this month on ITV, but how many of their characters will make it out alive? And is one of them the guilty party...?
Appearing in the instalment are Holby City and Casualty's Tom Chambers (series 6 winner), Coronation Street's Natalie Gumede (series 11), Hollyoaks star Danny Mac (series 14) and Steps singer Faye Tozer (series 16).
The four Strictly stars will be dragged into a whodunit storyline as DCI John Barnaby (Neil Dudgeon) and DS Jamie Winter (Nick Hendrix) investigate the mysterious death of a professional dancer.
And not only that, but Corrie favourite Nigel Havers is also on board for the episode.
Dudgeon, who replaced former lead actor John Nettles in 2011, has said that Midsomer Murders is unlikely to end anytime soon.
"I think the show can go on and on," he told Digital Spy last year. "The premise is, 'Something investigation-worthy happens somewhere rural and two policemen turn up to find out what's gone on.' Around that, write any story you want."
Midsomer Murders airs the Strictly crossover episode on Tuesday, January 21 at 8pm on ITV.
