His Dark Materials aired its season one finale on Sunday (December 22) and broke viewers' hearts in the process.
The BBC and HBO series drew its debut season to a close with the aptly-titled 'Betrayal'.
The episode saw Lyra's father finally unmasked as a villain, as he tragically murdered her best friend Roger (Lewin Lloyd) in order to successfully move between worlds.
And, while viewers were "broken" by the events that unfolded, it seems they also had a really great time watching the finale.
"What a brilliant adaptation of His Dark Materials has been so far!" said one person. "The cast and crew have nailed it! But Roger, I am completely broken."
"What a gripping and emotional end to an awesome series," added another.
"I'm a crying mess now," admitted a third.
