Strictly Come Dancing - Claudia Winkleman makes on-air blunder

Strictly Come Dancing's Oti Mabuse proved a bit of a hero on Saturday evening's (December 14) final – and not just because of her dancing.

Co-presenter Claudia Winkleman made a bit of a fluff live on air after Kelvin Fletcher and Oti finished their Showdance, making things a tad awkward.

Just before she was expected to go back to the judges to reveal their scores, the presenter said: "Let's have a look at the leaderboard..."

"Oh we're going to the scores, such a good point," Claudia joked. "Oti, thank goodness you're here! The leaderboard isn't even ready. The scores are in."

Still, viewers at home found the whole thing amusing, one saying: "Claudia is so excited she forgot the scores".

"Love Oti doing Claudia's job there," another added, while a third joked, "Claudia forgot about the scores, swear they've all been on the wine".

After the scores were read, Claudia also acknowledged that there had been some technical difficulties with voting due to "a very high volume of votes", although this was soon addressed and fixed.

Meanwhile, ahead of the final, dancer Anton du Beke opened up about his favourite thing of this year's series.

"I'm like Emma, a huge Strictly Come Dancing fan, that's why I do it, because I love it," he told Digital Spy and other media. "And the thing that I love more than anything else is to be dancing with a fan of the show and Emma is a super fan.

"So for me the whole experience has been wonderful, but most of all I've enjoyed Emma's love of doing the show, that's been the best thing for me."
