Strictly Come Dancing pro Neil Jones has shared some "positive" news about a possible comeback this weekend.

Neil has been unable to dance with his partner Alex Scott for the last two weeks due to an injury, with Kevin Clifton stepping in for him.

However, Neil has now indicated with a series of tweets that he's back in practice with Alex and could indeed feature this coming weekend.

"Most people don’t like Monday's but I do that's because I get to teach @AlexScott a NEW DANCE!!!!" he tweeted today (November 4).

And after one fan asked him if that meant he'll be dancing again this weekend, he replied: "It's positive at the moment but still I need to see."

Following Alex's dance this past weekend, which saw her put through to the next round, Neil praised his partner and thanked Kevin for taking his place.

He tweeted: "Thank you to everyone for your support and kind words. Every week @AlexScott improves and I really want to thank @keviclifton once again for his help last week. I couldn't stop smiling when watching them yesterday. Fingers crossed we will be together again."

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues on Saturday (November 9) at 6.50pm on BBC One.
