Strictly Come Dancing pro Dianne Buswell has admitted she blames herself for Dev Griffin's shock exit from the show.

Speaking on FUBAR Radio yesterday (October 31), the professional dancer, who was paired up with Dev, said that's it difficult not to feel responsible when your partner departs the competition.

"I was gutted for Dev!" she said. "He gets one chance and you feel very responsible. You put all the blame on yourself straight away."

Dev's elimination came with an element of controversy after the judges decided to save Viscountess Emma Weymouth instead of him. Fans weren't happy with the outcome, despite their vote placing Dev in the bottom two.

Following his exit, Dianne took to Instagram to pay tribute to Dev's efforts and declare that her heart was "broken" by the decision.

She wrote: "This guy had so much to give and worked sooooo hard I'm so sorry your journey was cut short you have done me so proud, every week you would say you just didn't want to let me down!

"Dev you sooo didn't you were a dream to teach and you were turning into such a great dancer thank you so much for everything."

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 continues on Saturday (November 2) at 7pm on BBC One.
