The Great British Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood has been telling off the bakers for ten series now… so it's about time he got a taste of his own medicine.

In fact, it was only a few weeks ago when former Bake Off winner Sophie Faldo accused him having unattainable standards when critiquing this year's crop of contestants.

The moody breadmaker finally got told off on the Channel 4 baking competition during festival week, but this time he didn't actually say anything rude to warrant it!

Noel Fielding understandably felt right at home as he joined Sandi Toksvig in announcing three complex challenges devised by Paul and his fellow judge Prue Leith, including yeasty buns inspired by festive holidays from around the world.

Student Henry Bird decided on a twist to the Kardemummabullar, a classic Swedish bun often served at coffee parties.

Henry is always a ball of nerves in the tent, but he was never more nervous than when Paul offered him a Hollywood Handshake after tasting his Kardemummabullar.

In total disbelief, Henry could only tell Paul: "No, shut up!"

The judges were all chuckling as Henry and Paul shook hands, with Prue quipping: "I don't think you say 'shut up' to the judges."

"No one's ever told a handshake to 'shut up'," Noel added.

Henry was still in total disbelief about getting the prized Hollywood Handshake once the bakers left the tent.

"I could go now. I could leave this week and be fine," he admitted.

Henry didn't have to worry about leaving, since he ended up becoming Star Baker for the week.

"Well, that's my checklist now," Henry beamed.

The Great British Bake Off airs on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4, and spin-off show The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice airs on Fridays at 8pm, also on Channel 4.
