It's week four of The Great British Bake Off (September 24) and we've been transported back to the Roaring Twenties when custard pie and Beignets Souffles were all the rage (apparently).

Last week, fans said a reluctant goodbye to Phil, but who would fail to impress judges Paul Hollywood and Prue Leith this time and who would walk away with the Star Baker title?

First up, it was the Signature Challenge, where the contestants were tasked with making a classic custard pie.

Sadly for Rosie, she suffered every baker's worst nightmare when she dropped one of her pies on the floor! But things went much better for David, who received a Hollywood Handshake.

For the Technical Challenge, Beignets Souffles were on the menu (they're basically posh French donuts).

The challenge was particularly difficult for Michael, who struggled so much he was reduced to tears. While no one was perfect, Helena's effort was enough to earn her her first Technical Challenge win.

Next, it was time for the Showstopper Challenge as the contestants had to create a two-tiered 'prohibition cake' flavoured with their favourite cocktail and with the design celebrating the era.

For her Pina Colada cake, Steph was crowned Star Baker for the second week in a row. But then it was time for a shocking twist as TWO bakers were given the boot – Michelle and Helena.

Fans were livid that Helena was eliminated, especially after she won the Signature Challenge and created a unique Dracula-inspired cake.

The Great British Bake Off airs on Tuesdays at 8pm on Channel 4, and spin-off show The Great British Bake Off: An Extra Slice airs on Fridays at 8pm, also on Channel 4.
