It’s coming up to that time of the year again when the nation collectively tunes in to ITV reality show Love Island, and this time around the series is going to feature a contestant with a Strictly Come Dancing connection.
The show, which is all about young people finding love on holiday, announced its cast last night (27 May) and Strictly super fans will possibly recognise 23-year-old Curtis Pritchard, brother of professional dancer AJ Pritchard.
Curtis is also a dancer and as a professional on Dancing With the Stars Ireland, is no stranger to TV cameras.
“The secret’s out Curtis has headed off to the island of love this summer. This account will be run by family & friends and we can’t wait to hear what you all have to say when the show starts a week today!” a message posted on Curtis’ Twitter account read.
Presumably AJ might be taking on some of the duties of running Curtis’ social media while he’s away filming Love Island, but the Strictly star is clearly most excited about watching his brother on the show.
“I’m so Proud of you @curtispritchard12 .. can’t wait to Watch, SUPPORT & Laugh at you,” AJ said.
A host of Strictly pros have been sharing their support and good luck messages with AJ and Curtis. We’re sure they’ll be tuning in when Love Island begins on ITV at 9pm on 3 June.
