If you thought John Krasinski and Emily Blunt were adorable at last night's (27 January) Screen Actors Guild Awards, wait until you discover what Michael Douglas had to say about wife of 18-years, Catherine Zeta-Jones...
The couple, who met in 1996 at a film festival, had a whirlwind romance, with Douglas proposing on New Year's Eve of 1999.
Douglas gave ET Online basically the most beautiful and heartwarming interview about his marriage ever to have been recorded last night.
Speaking to ET’s Nischelle Turner, 74-year-old Douglas explained: 'The first time I ever met her I found out we had the same birthday and I told her, 'I’m going to be the father of your children.''
He jokingly continued: 'I found out she played golf. I melted right there.'
But continued seriously by saying: 'She looked straight into my eyes, and that was it.'
Zeta-Jones echoed the actor's sentiments, delivering this especially sweet line:
'He is the kindest man I have ever met in my life. His sense of humour, he is actually quite funny in his show. But he is my best friend. So proud to be with him tonight.'
Can we get a collective Aww?
