It was a great night for Michael Douglas at the 2019 Golden Globes. The 74-year-old actor won Best Actor in a Comedy Series award for his role in Netflix series The Kominsky Method, and he looked thrilled to have his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones next to him.

As they posed for photos together, the couple held hands, shared a kiss and in a particularly sweet moment, Douglas was spotted taking a picture of Zeta Jones on the red carpet.

Zeta-Jones was dressed in a stunning emerald green gown by Elie Saab, with Douglas in a classic tux for the awards ceremony. Later in the evening, their PDAs continued at the Netflix after-party and at a press conference after his award win, Douglas spoke about the "genuine love" between the pair after 18 years of marriage.

He told reporters (via Fox News):"Well we celebrated our 18th anniversary recently, and besides a genuine love that only continues to grow, I think the fact that we’re in the same industry together really helps us understand what’s going on.

He added: "It was great for her to be here tonight. It's one of those nice things where your partner totally understands what's going on."

During his acceptance speech, Douglas paid tribute to his "extraordinary wonderful wife" as he dedicated his award to his 102-year-old father, Kirk Douglas.

Speaking backstage, he recalled the guidance his dad had given him. "Stamina and tenacity," Douglas said, via Entertainment Weekly. "He was out of the school where you get your best shot, you walk away after you’ve done the best you can. Then f–k it! That’s the best advice I got."
