Alan Carr has admitted he's been asked to sign up for Strictly Come Dancing 2019 – however he wants one hilarious change made to the show before he'll consider it.

Speaking to Coleen Nolan on the Loose Women panel, she began by saying: "I've heard you might be down to do Strictly next year. I really want to see you do Strictly."

Alan admitted: "I will do it, but next year, I've got a busy year. They cornered me and they said, 'Would you do it?'

"But listen, I would do it, but I hate those VTs where, you know what I mean? 'Hello, we're doing salsa, so we're off to a dips factory.' Like WHAT!?

"All to test a move, or like [in] a museum, and you’re like, 'No, I need to be in that studio now doing the practice!'"

The Loose Women gang chimed in and agreed that the dancers often have to film in really random locations at times, such as the zoo.

Alan continued: "Step away from the rhino, let's get back there and stick a rose in my mouth and do the thing."

The Chatty Man host also revealed his ideal routine to perform: "You know what my favourite dance is? 'Oops Upside Your Head' because you get to sit down."

As for Alan's Channel 4 Christmas special, which this year will be called Alan Carr's Christmas Cracker, he'll welcome the likes of Channing Tatum, both father and daughter iterations of Danny/Dani Dyer, and Olly Murs.

Loose Women continues weekdays from 12.30pm on ITV.

Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas Special is on 5.30pm on BBC One on December 25.

Alan Carr's Christmas Cracker is on at 10.15pm on Channel 4 on December 25.
