Lovers of rich florals and bold botanicals in their interiors are in luck this spring, as heritage British brand, Sanderson, known for its beautifully crafted fabrics and timeless prints has collaborated with John Lewis on its first ever high-street furniture collection.
The collab couldn’t have come at a better time, with the spring/summer trends all about prints, colour, lush fabrics and personalising your spaces. The quintessential British duo are dipping into the Sanderson archives in celebration of its 165th anniversary to bring us a range that spans the bedroom, living and outdoor spaces, with everything from cushions, cups and headboards to a beautiful candy-stripe sofa.
Even if you’re not into maximalism, just one beautifully crafted piece will create a gorgeous focal point in an otherwise pared back space. Like a bold, striped armchair in a cosy reading nook.

As someone who’s just bought their own flat (I currently have approximately 53 Pinterest boards) and adores a clashing print, here’s what I’ve already added to my wish list.
This blue and cream bolster cushion has a very Bridgerton, Regency-era feel to it and will add a touch of luxury to any bed or sofa. Pair with the frilled, floral cushion from the collection (below) for an effortless print clash.
With its on-trend frilled, striped edging and clash of patterns in muted olive and blue, this cushion is full of character. We love the playful cantaloupe design., too.
This candlestick-style lamp is all about the red and blue colour combination, which is huge in interiors right now. They work because they're complementary shades on the colour wheel – calming blues provide a counterpoint to deeper, moodier reds.
The floral shade would work with Sanderson's intricate Tamizart wallpaper (as shown)– a lovely idea for a small bedroom – but this little lamp would add colour, print and soft lighting to any space.
Treat yourself to new towels and wrap yourself up one of Sanderson's heritage prints, which features an Ottoman flower motif. These would look gorgeous in a chic wallpapered loo (alongside the fancy hand soap of course).
That reading nook we mentioned? You won't find many more glamorous spots to cosy up in than this striped, tub armchair with its pleasing curved back and arms. We also love the frilled skirt. Sit it atop one of the range's beautiful floral rugs and add a coffee table for your latest read.
If your funds won't stretch to a new sofa, but you still want to invest in some of that Sanderson heritage, this lined notebook and pen set makes a gorgeous self-gift. One for the stationery lovers who like nothing more turning the page on a brand new notebook.
Add opulence to any bedroom by layering up a mix of the range's rich fabrics and prints. We love this reversible, muted green cover with stripes on one side and a painterly print on the other.
It would pair beautifully with the navy blue striped throw from the range (below). Add dark blue or charcoal grey furniture to create a relaxing, cocooning space.
Add dive-in comfort to your sleep set-up with this sumptuous striped bedspread. You can layer it on top of your duvet on colder nights and lay it at the bottom of your bed for extra texture and colour all year round. Warning: you may struggle to get up when your alarm goes off.
If we were to pick one standout buy from the collection, it would be this beautiful, sculptural arm chair, covered in rampant blue and green florals.
Made in the UK specially for the collaboration, the print was inspired by a nineteenth-century wallpaper document from the Sanderson archive. We think it would be a lovely statement piece to provide contrast to a more muted living space, or you could dial it up alongside contrasting florals and botanicals in reds and yellows for a more maximalist finish.
