The RHS Chelsea Flower Show Floristry and Floral 2025 Awards aren't far away, with the show taking place next week. And, last year, five different displays took home the gold.
'Colour and Transparency' by Julie Pearson Design, 'Burst' by Laura Pannitt at Helen James Flowers, 'Spectrum of Fire' by Lara Thorpe at Wild at Heart, 'Inner Peace' by Angela Turner Floral Design and 'Peach Perfect' by Nicola Hill at Gentle Blooms were the gold medallists in 2024.
As we prepare for this year's show, we take a look back at the 2024 winners for a flavour of what we might expect ahead of May. You can also find a round-up of all the overall Chelsea Flower Show winners for last year, as well as find the best garden products, as voted by expert Chelsea judges, on our website.
What is the Chelsea Flower Show Floristry and Floral Design competition?
The Chelsea Flower Show Floristry and Floral Design competition is a group of displays which were initially slated for the postponed 2020 event.
The competition took place on the centre stage of the Great Pavilion at the in-person event in 2021 and has since become a set feature of the show.
For the first time, 2024 saw the pavilion widen to include 'Creative Spaces', which are described by the RHS as an opportunity for florists "to have free rein". These designs, though, are not eligible for medals.

Colour & Transparency
This display has been created using acrylic rods and glass test tubes. Incorporating Pantone's neon colour trends from 2023 and 2024, the vibrant flowers used include poppies, irises, hazel, silver birch and passionflower.
Burst
Featuring ranunculus, Sanguisorba, clematis, Helleborus and cosmos, this display brings together flowers in earthy tones through to bright, vibrant blooms. It was created as a reminder that the start of new cycles and new ideas begin more muted before bursting into beautiful colour.
Spectrum of Fire
As the climate changes, this display was inspired by wildfires from last summer. Framed by a willow structure (to mimic flames), the flowers used - including Kniphofia, Eremurus, Sanguisorba, scabious and Amaranthus - are in a palette of beautiful reds, oranges and yellows.
Inner Peace
Reflecting "the need for calm amongst chaos", this display symbolises the power that nature can have for those experiencing mental health issues. British flowers in delicate tones take centre stage, including roses, jasmine, Anenome, Clematis, Alchemilla and Nigella.
Peach Perfect
A play on words, this display has a willow frame that allows its flowers (Colibri poppies, geums and alliums alongside Aquilegia, Dicentra and Lunaria honesty) to flow out like pitch perfect music. The beautiful homegrown flowers are presented beside seasonal foliage, too.
