Paint company Farrow and Ball has revealed three tricks to incorporating pink into your home, and explain how to make it work for a range of spaces.
On its Instagram account, the brand shared three examples of real homes embracing variations of the shade for a range of purposes.
The first image reveals a blush pink front door offset with gold fixtures, which showcases the shade Nancy's Blushes.
Using pink on your main door creates an instant statement as you walk into your home and is a good alternative if you’re not sure about coating all your walls in the colour.
Another image shows a warmer, more muted tone of pink used in a living room to create “a cocooning feel perfect for relaxation.” The homeowner has used the shade Sulking Room Pink on the walls and matched it with plush armchair in a similar shade, to foreground the deep, cosy feel of the room.
Got an awkward area you’re not sure what to do with, perhaps in an irregular sized room or conservatory? Create a cosy nook by using paint to distinguish the space as separate. In the final image of Farrow and Ball’s post, the narrow end of a room has been transformed into a comfortable window nook thanks to the use of pink paint in Setting Plaster.
Paired with coordinating stripes cushions across a large bench makes it the perfect spot to curl up with a good book or magazine, or to watch the garden from.
