Emma Bridgewater has announced a brand new mug design in support of the Queen’s Green Canopy tree planting project, which was founded to mark Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee this year.
The special edition half-pint mug features the slogan of the initiative, “Plant a Tree for the Jubilee” on the front, painted in green lettering. The reverse features a charming quote reading, “trees are who we are. Hearts of oak, beech, birch and lime.”
£5 from the sale of each mug will be donated to support the Queen’s Green Canopy project.
In a release, Emma Bridgewater explained that the initiative will, “plant trees and create green spaces in deprived urban areas and schools across the UK that will benefit our natural wildlife, provide cleaner air, reduce pollution levels and mitigate the effects of climate change.”
The mug is priced at £22 and available to buy on the Emma Bridgewater website.

A matching tea towel supporting the cause has also been released. The green tea towel features white leaves and the words “Plant a Tree for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022”.
The tea towel is available to buy online for £12, with £2 from the sale of each item going towards the cause.
