'It shouldn't work but it does'. Why this lemon curd iced coffee recipe is a must try ☕🍋
Did you know lemon curd and coffee are a match made in heaven? Now to experiment with all the other curds in our pantry!

When we thought about putting lemon curd into our coffee, we knew it could go one of two ways. Fortunately it ended up tasting incredible so we are here to share the recipe with you, so you can make it yourself at home.
The lemony zing from the curd pairs perfectly with the coffee flavour - and the hint of fresh lemon zest at the end really makes this feel like you could have paid £8 for a fancy iced coffee at a specialty coffee store!
Ingredients
- 25 ml
hot espresso
- 1 Tbsp.
lemon curd
- 50 ml
whole milk
- 50 ml
double cream
- 1 Tbsp.
lemon curd
zest from 1/2 lemon, optional
Directions
- Step 1Pull a fresh single shot of espresso and mix a tablespoon of lemon curd into the hot coffee until dissolved. Set aside.
- Step 2In a large drinking glass, combine your milk, double cream and lemon curd and lightly whisk until well mixed and lightly aerated.
- Step 3Add ice into your drinking glass until it almost reaches the top (leaving a gap for the espresso mixture) and pour your lemon curd espresso over the top. Drink immediately.
GH TIPS:
Like your coffee on the less sweeter side? Omit the lemon curd from the milk/cream mixture and use 1tsp mixed into the espresso instead. It gives it just a *hint* of lemony zing.
Got other curds lying around the house? This would also work brilliantly with clementine curd or passionfruit curd!
