Air fryer chicken nuggets recipe - no oil in sight 🍗
You can't beat a homemade chicken nugget, especially when they taste this good!

Pieces of chicken breast are coated in a simple crumb and air fried for just 11min to juicy perfection.
See our tip box below for variations and serving suggestions.
Ingredients
- 400 g
chicken breast, cut into 4cm chunks
- 1
medium egg, beaten
- 40 g
plain flour
- 1 tsp.
garlic granules
- 75 g
panko breadcrumbs
Directions
- Step 1Preheat air fryer to 205°C. In a shallow bowl, mix breadcrumbs, garlic granules and plenty of seasoning. Put flour and beaten eggs into 2 separate bowls. Pat chicken pieces dry with kitchen paper and coat in flour (tap off excess), then dip in the egg and coat in breadcrumb mixture.
- Step 2Transfer to the air fryer basket and cook for 11min, or until golden and cooked through. Serve.
We've added garlic granules to our breadcrumbs but you can also add dried herbs, any spices you fancy or onion granules.
Ketchup makes a delicious simple dipping sauce, but also mayo with the squirt of sriracha or chipotle mixed through is a little more grown up! It would also be delicious served with our smokey tomato sauce.
Instead of panko, try lightly crushing cornflakes instead to add an alternative crunchy coating.
