Air fryer gammon joint recipe – the juiciest ham we’ve ever eaten
Juicy, smokey and sweet – ham doesn’t get much better than this.

No need to boil in a pan of water first – a gammon joint is added straight to the basket of the air fryer and comes out as a succulent cooked ham!
Slathered in peppery mustard, smokey paprika and sweet honey, this flavoursome ham is the juiciest you’ll ever taste.
Ingredients
- 750 g
unsmoked gammon joint
FOR THE GLAZE
- 1 Tbsp.
Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp.
runny honey
- 1 tsp.
sweet smoked paprika
Directions
- Step 1Preheat air fryer to 160°C. Put the gammon joint into the air fryer basket. Cook for 30min.
- Step 2Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix the glaze ingredients together.
- Step 3Remove the gammon from the basket. Line the basket with foil. Brush the glaze all over the gammon joint, return to the basket and cook for a further 30min, until golden and cooked.
We’ve glazed our gammon joint with mustard, honey and paprika but you can experiment with lots of different flavours. We love a boozy twist, such as a honey and whisky glaze or a sloe gin glaze on our ham. For a summery flavour, try our pineapple spiced ham.
Our gammon joint is delicious served in slices with egg and chips, but it’s also delicious when added to a sandwich or served with leftovers on Boxing Day with gravy.
To test whether the gammon joint is cooked, use a meat thermometer – it should be 71 °C.
