Ingredients
500g
cauliflower, chopped into small florets
2tsp.
oil
175g
pulled ham hock
350g
ready-made cheese sauce
Small handful chives, finely chopped
25g
butter, melted
2
filo pastry sheets, torn in half
Directions
Step 1Preheat air fryer to 200°C, according to manufacturer’s instructions. In a 1.5 litre ovenproof dish that fits in your airfryer, toss the cauliflower with the oil until coated. Cook in air fryer for 10-12min, or until tender (shaking halfway).
Step 2Once the cauliflower is cooked, add the ham hock, cheese sauce, chives and some seasoning to the dish. Fold together to combine. Put dish in air fryer and cook for 5min to heat through, then remove.
Step 3Put the sheets of filo on a board and brush both with a little of the melted butter. Roughly scrunch up the pastry and put on top of the cauliflower cheese mixture in the dish to cover up the pie. Brush any remaining butter on top of the pastry.
Step 4Cook pie in air fryer for 5min until golden and crisp. Serve immediately.
Serve with a salad for a lighter meal or serve as the side to your Sunday roast for an elevated cauliflower cheese. For example, it would be delicious served alongside our air fryer roast chicken.
If you prefer, you can of course make your own cheese sauce, rather than using shop bought
