Platinum Jubilee celebrations are set to define the summer and naturally will need special tipples to mark the occasion. The Queen is known to be partial to a gin, so it's only right that two of our favourite gin brands have launched special gins in commemoration of the historic anniversary, the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II.

For those who like new and fruity flavours, The Cotswolds Distillery's limited edition Platinum Jubilee Gin celebrates classic sweet delights of British summer with notes of jammy strawberry, raspberry and smooth vanilla ice cream, with a hint of citrus and pink pepper to balance. Available from May and bottled in a regal purple and silver bottle of course, makers recommend serving with premium tonic and a strawberry garnish.

Dan Szor, Founder of The Cotswolds Distillery, said in the release: "It encapsulates the taste of summer in a bottle for everyone to enjoy with family and friends - and is a must have on your garden table this summer."

Serve with an orange garnish for a Jubilee G&T, or whip up the brand's Classic Jubilee Gin Cocktail with 40ml Whitley Neill Jubilee Gin, 40ml Dubonnet and 15ml Aperol. Add all three to a stirring glass over large cubed ice and stir for 30-40 seconds before straining into a chilled rocks glass filled with more large cubed ice, and garnish with edible flowers. How picture perfect.
