Whether for Pancake Day (which is on 4 March this year), or just because you love them, pancakes make a great option for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

If you're more team savoury than team sweet, we've compiled all our favourite savoury pancake recipes in one spot so you can find inspiration for your next meal.

If you still haven't perfected the pancake part of the recipe - fear not. We've got some tips for you below.

Our cookery team share some of their top tips to ensure you make the best pancakes possible on Shrove Tuesday:

  • Always let your pancake batter rest after mixing (about 30 to 45 minutes)
  • Only flip your pancakes once, otherwise, if you over flip, they will end up rubbery and tough
  • Always use a non-stick frying pan
  • Don't be tempted to flip your pancakes too early, allow them to set on the bottom first
  • The best thing to fry your pancakes in is butter
  • Swirl the pan as soon as the batter has been added, don't be tempted to use a utensil to spread it.

Now it's time to get cooking!
