The Great Celebrity Bake Off 2021 line-up has been revealed
Here are the celebs donning a GBBO apron for Stand Up To Cancer.
It's very sad thinking that we have to wait until August for The Great British Bake Off 2021. But before you make a pact to stay under your duvet until then in a sulk, we have some good news: there is going to be a Celebrity Bake Off this year, and the line-up is incredible. These 20 celebs - including James McAvoy, Jade Thirlwall and Dizzee Rascal - will be donning their GBBO aprons to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer. EXCITING!
Each episode will see four celebrities battle it out over three rounds – the Signature, then Technical and the Showstopper – in a bid to be crowned Star Baker. Prue Leith and Paul Hollywood will be meticulously judging each bake, and Bake Off host Matt Lucas will be on hand to provide tea and sympathy for the celebrity bakers as they go head to head in the pressure-filled tent.
Speaking of this year's series, Sarah Lazenby, Head of Formats and Features at Channel 4 said, “What we all need right now is more joy. Bake Off is serving up yet another dollop of fun courtesy of some very willing celebrities. We can't promise a huge helping of baking inspiration, but we can deliver some much-needed laughs.”
Kieran Smith, Executive Producer, Love Productions added, “Bake Off is extremely proud to support Stand Up To Cancer. It has been a difficult year for charities and we sincerely hope that this series will offer a lot of fun but also some much-needed funds in the fight against cancer.”
