6 best Waitrose Easter eggs, ranked by our tasting panel
Including that adorable croissant egg and a pistachio-flavoured show-stopper

As part of our 2025 Easter Taste Test, the Good Housekeeping Institute experts and panel have been nibbling their way through almost 100 Easter eggs (96 to be exact) since January – all to bring you the best Easter eggs to enjoy over the long bank holiday.
And, yes, we take Easter egg tasting very seriously. There's a lot of chat about aromas and the quality of the 'snap'. We also blind test them all to avoid any brand bias.
We tried a range of hero milk, white, dark and vegan varieties from all the leading supermarkets, to help you in your hunt for the tastiest treats to gift (and, most importantly, self-gift) this year. Waitrose had a great spread of winners across the categories, including our top-rated blonde egg (more on that charming croissant egg below).
We know it's easy to get distracted in the chocolate aisle, so we've ranked the best Waitrose Easter eggs to help you speed through your next shop. These are the ones we're adding to basket before they sell out.
