Whether you enjoy yours on toast with plenty of cheese, on top of a hot jacket potato, or with a side of chips, these are the best beans, from just 32p a can!

How we test baked beans

The Good Housekeeping Institute tried 12 cans of baked beans — comparing the big brands to the supermarket dupes — to see which tasted best. They were looking tender haricot beans, in a sweet, tangy tomato sauce.
