Sparkling rosé wines are made in a broad range of styles from across the globe, from light and floral to rich, full-bodied and fruity. Wherever they’re from, the common denominator tends to be how well they go with food. Whether it's canapés or main courses, sparkling rosé wines can work exceptionally well. They go particularly with dishes containing pork, duck or smoked salmon.
Richer, spicier rosés go with Asian-inspired dishes and partner well with sushi and sashimi. The more delicate, red-fruit driven styles with some residual sweetness can work exceptionally well with red-fruit flavoured desserts. Our panel, led by wine expert Alexandra Hale, tasted 18 different sparkling rosé wines.
