Here's a new idea, meat boxes by post. We've been assessing the new Carnivore Club, a curated cured meat by post service, featuring artisans from around the world. Members receive a faux-wooden box every month filled with 4 to 6 hand-crafted cured meats from different artisans. Each month’s box is themed around one producer specialising in a particular style of cured meats such as French Charcuterie, Italian Salami, Spanish Chorizo, South African Biltong and Jerky. The GHI team tried a number of meats including the Olive Salami, with the selection in our box including an exciting mix of charcuterie. Our testers particularly enjoyed the Bresaola which was beautifully soft and full of flavour.
Subscriptions are available on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis, and the prices start from £29 a month.
