Matcha latte, pistachio latte, ube latte - the list of quirky lattes goes on. But something that hasn't had much air time (and deserves way more of it) is the Spanish latte.

Costa is about to change that - with the coffee giant announcing the return of the much-loved Spanish latte range, available in both a hot and iced version for the summer.

Don't worry if you've not heard of a Spanish latte before. It's somewhat loosely inspired by a Café con Leche drink you'd get in Spain, but is kind of like the cousin of a Vietnamese coffee.

What to read next

A Spanish latte is espresso and milk, with added sweetened condensed milk to make it rich, creamy and an absolute dream drink. If you love a sweet coffee, you'll really really like this.

Along with the much-loved Spanish latte, which will be priced from £4.25, Costa is also bringing out some new foodie options in a new range called Barista Bites. Think golden, cheesy bites served with a tomato chutney and crispy chicken served with a smoky chipotle BBQ sauce. A perfectly sized snack when you need a lil something.

And, to satisfy tiramisu lovers, there's also a brand-new Tiramisu Cookie Sandwich launching! It's a rich dark chocolate cookie sandwich filled with a tiramisu-inspired, creamy coffee frosting, finished with icing and cocoa powder. It’s the ultimate treat that would go perfectly with a Spanish iced latte... which is exactly what I'll be eating and drinking this Thursday morning when the new menu drops in stores nationwide.
