If you're looking for a new, first-of-its-kind wine to drink in the sunshine this weekend, look no further than Aldi for an exciting and very trendy new launch.

Aldi heard the hip, East Londoners loud and clear, and decided it was time to really tap into the orange wine market, by releasing its first-ever sparkling orange wine! It's an elegant twist on one of the world's most funky and talked-about wines and we are very excited to have a sparkling bottle ready for the warm, sunny weekend ahead. And in true Aldi fashion, it's offered at a bargain price.

No longer just reserved for the chic wine bars that charge £8–£10 for a glass, Aldi, once again are proving that sophistication doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag.

What to read next

This isn't the first time Aldi has tapped into the orange wine market, with its ever popular Specially Selected Rosorange Rosé (£9.99), building a cult following, so it's no surprise they've brought out the sparkling wine equivalent.

This new iteration is filled with aromatic apricot and floral aromas, while tasting of zingy orange marmalade. It is bright and zippy, and perfect when drunk alongside a charcuterie board (or with your favourite crisps), and excellent when shared with friends in the sunshine. Add a couple of ice cubes and turn it into a speedy orange spritz - there are no rules!

The best part though? Aldi’s Specially Selected Chassaux et Fils Sparkling Orange Wine retails for £9.99 and is available in stores now. Go go go! Because it won't be around for long.
