Is there anything more exciting than when two of your favourite brands announce that they are collaborating and set to release a fun new product!? Well this is the case as Cadbury and Biscoff have partnered up to release a Dairy Milk chocolate bar and we couldn't contain our excitement.

We got our hands on a very early sample and we were beyond excited to try this incredible sounding collab. This creation sees Cadbury Dairy Milk’s signature creamy chocolate envelop the deliciously satisfying crunch of Biscoff’s caramelised biscuits. But, for some of us in the office, we were slightly disappointed with the taste and here's why..

"It has that classic sweet, milky Cadbury smell and flavour we all know and love, but I'm not entirely sure the Biscoff flavour is strong enough to cut through the sweet milk chocolate", says our food writer, Mel.

"It definitely adds a textural difference, but it's a little bit gritty and takes away from the overall experience. I think they've missed the mark with this one - but obviously I'll forgive them because they make some of my favourite chocolates ever (hello Mini Eggs), but I wish they had created a chocolate bar that was stuffed with actual Biscoff spread, rather than crumbling biscuit through the chocolate itself".

This is not to say it is terrible, we still enjoyed the slight caramelised brown sugar flavour that the Biscoff adds, but it was a little subdued and frankly, we had higher expectations for Cadbury.

Want to try it for yourself and see if you agree with our food writer? The Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscoff Bar is available from independent retailers and major supermarkets from the 15 March.
