Pistachio seems to be one of those ingredients that keeps going from strength to strength and it's a massive food trend on TikTok and Instagram, with over 200 million people searching for pistachio related food, and particularly, pistachio chocolate.
This is good news for us because it means more and more brands are creating pistachio flavoured chocolates (last year, Lindt released a pistachio-flavoured LINDOR truffle and it was one of our favourite launches of the year), and now that Easter is approaching, we're already seeing this trend appear on the shelves from some of our favourite brands.
We've already tasted our way through Lindt's Easter Egg range for 2025 (which, surprise surprise, includes an incredible pistachio Easter egg), Waitrose even launched one a few weeks ago (which was very tasty but not as good as their croissant Easter egg!) and next up is M&S with not one, but two pistachio Easter eggs in the collection.
First up is the M&S Collection Extra Thick Pistachio and Milk Chocolate Egg (£20 for 485g). M&S claims it is their thickest Easter egg ever in the range, and I must say, I absolutely agree. It is so thick that I almost struggled to snap it with my hands (I don't necessarily think that's a negative to be honest).
It's made up of a 40% Belgian milk chocolate egg with a layer of smooth pistachio truffle, and whole and chopped roasted pistachios inside.
It's everything I want in a pistachio Easter egg and more. This one will be available to purchase in stores from 17th Feb!
The second is the M&S Collection Pistachio Rolled Eggs (£6.50 for a box of 5) and is quite a special product from M&S. It's the one product that has been going viral all over my TikTok, and hailed as M&S's 'product of the year' which is not an overstatement at all - it is really good.
It's a Belgian milk chocolate egg, filled with a rich pistachio and white chocolate filling, and rolled and covered in pistachios for a crunchy finish. I can't stop thinking about. Can all Easter eggs be rolled in pistachio going forward please?
